Ochoa, the best player in the world, made 'birdie' on consecutive holes 15 and 16 and marked difference with Pettersen, who also scored 68 points in the fourth round, but came with a handicap and ended with 268 in the field of Tres Marias, where the Mexican golfer also triumphed in 2006.

Third place went to the Korean Na Yeon Choi, with 274.

The victory in Morelia is the number 25 on the LPGA Lorena Ochoa and the second in this season.

The Mexican golfer was safe and in the end overcame the absence of its owner caddy, Dave Booker, who suffered a leg injury and was replaced by the coach Rafael Alarcon.
