A typical sailors "festival"

A little history:
The annual devotion to Nuestra Senora la Virgen del Carmen - Our Lady the Virgin of Mount Carmel - has been extended to everybody from its beginnings, when first news of the appearance of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was promulgated in the dawn of the XIII Century, and has been evolving until the present time through different phases, until becoming the patron saint of sailors on the seven seas. Not only marine towns hold these devotions to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, since in some municipalities of the Onubense - Huelva - interior processions are also prepared for this weekend.
Seeking music bands
 We are, once again, in course of preparations for the Fiestas del Carmen. Last year, we arranged an event which we baptised "Ayamonte Canta" - 'Song of Ayamonte'. This gave an opportunity to local bands to present their music directly to the public, backed up by a scene and quality sound, in addition to the pastiche.
