Isla Canela, an island separated from the main land by an estuarine river, is a popular holiday resort that combines beautiful golden beaches with championship golf and a delightful marina. The Playa Canela beach is a favourite the Spanish holiday makers with its long stretches of fine golden sand complete with lovely beach bars serving the fresh catch. The picturesque marina offers water sports along with further restaurants and bars.
Isla Canela Campo de Golf is an 18 hole championship course of good standard and length. It is situated in between Ayamonte and Playa Canela beach.

We believe that this area, the most westerly point of the Costa de Luz, being the last coast line to be developed in Spain, has the advantage of drawing on all the past mistakes, such as, Ecological Disruption, Design Disasters, High Rise, High Densities and poor quality, that many resorts offered.
Here, they are proving that mankind can develop in a considerate manner, taking into account the natural surroundings, wild life, flora, and the wet lands that are so important ecologically to maintain.
This tranquil island is under-going a “caring” transformation into the 21st century,
The new front line Beach Side apartments consisting of 1/2&3 bedrooms, is (probably the only property in Spain offering beach access within 5 metres of the plots), they have a hieght restriction of just 4 floors. They are being built in Traditional Andalucian Style. Unlike many of the developments in Spain that have sprung up over the past 30 years. Where architecture appears to have given way to fast profits.
You can step out onto 7 kilo “child friendly” soft sandy gently sloping beaches.
Access to numerous golf courses in both Spain and Portugal. There is instant access to the sea from the Marina, into probably some of the best fishing areas you could find. All the water sports you could wish for are available. Watch the graceful movements of the Dolphins as they swim alongside your boat. Stroll through the nature reserves, observing the wild life, or simply chill out and take the sun.

The newly developed Marina on the island at “Punta del Moral, has 231 berths currently, with an expansion of a further 305 berths up to 24 mtrs long are proposed within two years. It is accessed via the Rio Carrerras” it is a hub of activity, with its commercial centres, shops, bars and restaurants..
The Marina is lined to the south with apartments and shops, they enjoy a spectacular aspect across the marina into the old fishing village of Punta del Moral, with Ayamonte and the Bridge giving a perfect back drop in the distance, The land between these absorbed by the “Parc Natural”, a conservation wet land area that attracts many species of birds & wild life.
The Golf course that has been carefully constructed between the natural “tidal” canals running through the region, also offers traditional styled Apartments and Villas, that are restricted to 3 floors only, thereby concealed within the tree lined fairways, “another victory for nature”.
There is also a reserved area allocated for the second Golf course.

All these features make Isla Canela the perfect place to live, or holiday.
