Loft that Club - to Advantage!
When getting the ball airborne, hit down and through it. By leaving the club's loft to do the work, you'll make good contact with the ball, resulting in a natural flight path. It's the reason why golf clubs have loft - use it !

Swing Easy When It's Breezy
When you are playing in the wind, a simple but very good thought is " swing easy into the breeze " This thought helps keep you from over swinging in the wind and, in turn, prevent your ball from going too high .

Solid Swing Foundation
A consistent golf swing involves smooth tempo and good balance. Practise hitting shots with your feet six inches apart, which forces you to maintain better balance, tempo and rhythm. You will appreciate how effective this proves when you hit from your normal stance.

Swing On Through!
Consistent, powerful swings usually depend solely on... extending on through after hitting the ball . A successful way of learning to perfect this is to place a tee eight inches in front of the ball you are about to hit. Try to hit not only the ball but the tee als . This will train you to swing through the ball, rather than at it. .

Smooth Transition
It is typical that weekend golfers start the downswing tensely and with a violent motion thus ruining any prospect of making proper contact. The top of the swing is the critical transition point and should quietly lead into a smooth downswing. Think "light and lazy" at the top.

Back Up Low and Slow!
There is a tendency to swing the club back too quickly from the wrists, reducing full, smooth extension thus getting the swing off plane. For a proper feel for the take-away: First, assume your normal address stance and drop a ball behind the clubhead. As you begin a backswing, roll the ball backward until it is well past your right foot (left foot for left-handed players). If doing this correctly, the opposite shoulder will move to under your chin. You'll also appreciate how straight you left arm (right arm etc.) should be when taking the backswing.
