Rolling Stone leads protest
Keith Richards raised the profile of a campaign against hospital cuts today by joining protesters in a march through Chichester. The Rolling Stone marched alongside thousands protesting against possible cuts at a hospital near the star's West Sussex country home. It was not quite Street Fighting Man and the student riots of the 1960s, but Richards joined 15,000 people in a march to save the appropriately named St Richard’s hospital in Chichester, West Sussex.

Huelva gets bigger slice of the cake
In the Budget for 2008, approved by the Government of Andalucia, the province of Huelva comes out in first place in terms of the amount of money per citizen allotted for the next year.

Python in the Toilet
This sounds like a made-up story just in time for Halloween. But everyone's nightmare really happened to a New York City woman and she's still struggling to get over it. Nadege Brunacci was in the bathroom of her apartment at the crack of dawn, and fortunately for her she was only washing her hands. But she felt like someone was looking at her, so she glanced around the tiny room. What she saw staring back at her nearly gave the 38-year-old a heart attack. Peeking out of her toilet were the beady eyes of a 7-foot long python.

Driver going the wrong way
This weekend the Civil Guard stopped a driver who, for more than one hour, created a situation of authentic panic in the A-49 motorway. The car was going in the direction of Seville, on the opposite side of the road, and at a speed of up to 200 kilometers per hour. During the course of these events the driver provoked three accidents resulting in several light injuries.
