The End of The World is Nigh – According to Isaac Newton
He was one of the foremost scientific intellects of all time, peerless in his approach to the mysteries of his time, such as the law of gravity, but the pre-eminent scientist had a hidden side, seeking clues to the solutions of others in ancient texts. It is said that he devoted more time to study of the scriptures than to science. Coupled with his staunchly rational experiments, he reasoned, it offered the best hope of understanding the world's origins. They are believed to belong to a group of humpbacks which migrated from Baja California, Mexico, to spend the summer near the Farallon Islands off the coast of California.

We are less alone than ever
An international team of astronomers announced the discovery of 28 planets outside the solar system, the greatest single haul since the first so-called exoplanet was found 12 years ago. The new discoveries raise the total number of exoplanets—worlds that circle other stars—to 236. Still eluding the planet hunters, however, is the much-longed-for Earth replica, a planet like ours that could nourish some kind of life, allowing humans to feel a little less lonely in the cosmos.
