Tourism Down in 2007
The hotel business in the province of Huelva is down 25 per cent compared to the same period of 2006, and the average stay also decreased from 4.5 to 4 days. Jose Manuel Precipice, president of the local Federation of Businessmen said that occupancy was 55 per cent in June; 72 per cent in July; in August 95 per cent and 65 per cent in September.

McCanns fly back to UK
Kate and Gerry McCann left Portugal on Sunday – just 48 hours after they were declared official suspects in the hunt for their missing daughter Madeleine. The couple caught the early morning easyjet flight from Faro in the Algarve to East Midlands airport with their two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie. They are planning to return home to Rothley in Leicestershire to try and pick up the pieces of their life.
The McCanns were given permission to return to their home in Rothley, Leicestershire, on Saturday and booked their flights on the Internet. The lease on their villa in Praia da Luz was due to expire.

Fiestas 2007 for the Patrona of the City
The Fiestas will begin at 20.30 on Tuesday 4th. September and will conclude Sunday 9th. September.

Festival Gastronómico del Guadiana
The Festival will be held from August 31st to September 2nd and will feature not only stands offering a wide selection of gastronomic delights from our area, but also entertainment every night for the young and not so with orchestras and dancing.

XXVIII Festival Internacional de Danzas de Villablanca
The XXVIII Festival Internacional de Danzas de Villablanca, will be held in and around Villablanca from the 2oth to the 27th of August. Events will occur not only in Villablanca but also in the towns of Palma del Condado, San Juan del Porto, Cala, Zufre, Aljaraque,Palos de la Frontera, Punta Umbria,Nerva, Puerta Moral,Villanueva de los Castillejos, Zalamea,La Redondela,Villarrasa, Tavira, Chucena,Higuera de la Sierra,Bonares and Isla Cristina.
