Important Information
Necessary requirements for European Union foreign residents
to vote in the May 27th Municipal Elections
1: To be Registered or “Empadronado” in the town or village where you reside.
2: To make a Declaration of your Intention to Vote.
If you are “Empadronado” your name will appear on the local Census forms.
To fulfill the second requirement, go to your local Town Hall, ask for the form to declare Intention of Vote, fill it in, and you will be placed on the Electoral Roll.

Nearest British Consulate New Hours
For those Britons living on the Costa de la Luz, rather than travelling to Malaga, it may be more convenient for them to visit the British Consulate in Portimão, on the Portuguese Algarve, which is extending its opening hours to the public from January 2, 2007. The following information may prove useful over the Christmas, New Year and other holiday times involving extensive travelling, particularly the out-of-hours emergency number. |
